“Do what you can, with what you have, where you are.”-Theodore Roosevelt
As a wife and parent for over 32 years, I’ve heard the phrase “what’s for dinner?” a lot. Followed shortly by my staring into the pantry or fridge, thinking “what IS for dinner?” And somehow, boiling this and broiling that, something edible comes together. This is a simple example of doing what you can, with what you have, where you are. The same is true of many things in life. Whether at home or work, it’s not so much about what you don’t have as it is about what you do with what IS available. It’s about being grateful and looking for ways to use what you have to better the world. We reach goals by completing tasks toward them. Success is built on small steps taken in great faith. Take a step toward your goal today.
